  • Sam and Amy Allen (Roy and Julie's son and daughter-in-law) are going to have a baby! This will be Roy and Julie's sixth grandchild.

  • Byron came to church this Sunday, but his back is still hurting him and he needs your prayers.
  • Carolyn Lopez is suffering. Please pray for her comfort and strength.
  • Chloe Sales (Hannah and John's daughter) was diagnosed with a sinus infection, but her condition seems to be improving with medication.
  • Levi left on Saturday for his annual sixteen days of training at Fort Chaffee.

Praise Reports:
  • James Paul will be graduating from AIT soon!
  • June and Joyce are back from St. Louis and had a wonderful time visiting family.
  • The Bingo on Saturday was only attended by thirteen people, but still raised $150 for the 4th of July celebration. Yay!

Prayer Requests:
  • Shirley's friend has a mother in hospice. Please pray for comfort and lessening of pain for both of them.
  • Traveling mercies for Elaine's mother, Phyllis, who is coming to visit, and for the Densmores.
  • Pray that Joyce's family in St. Louis will continue to grow in the Lord.
  • Pray for Jamie Billings, Jamie Barber, Roy and Shelley Wisecarver, Christin, and all the others who were not with us this week.
  • Help and guidance for those who are graduating from high school and others who are pursuing college degrees.
  • Pray that the Lord opens doors for Brandon to get a good job.
  • Pray for our government at the national and state levels, especially for the outcome of this primary election. May the voters have God's wisdom and discernment as they decide the fate of our nation. Also keep Sulphur Springs in your prayers, that the Lord would guard our gates and strengthen our walls. Pray for our local authorities, police, firemen, etc..

Sermon Notes:
  • We continued on through the book of Romans this week, studying Romans 12:9-14.
The edited version (all one sentence):
Love must be sincere: hate what is evil; cling to what is good; be devoted to one another in brotherly love; honor one another above yourselves; never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord; be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer; share with God's people who are in need; practice hospitality; bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
