Sunday's Update - April 25, 2010

Announcements:
  • Aubrey Young is turning 20 years old on April 26. Congratulations, Aubrey!
  • Saturday, May 15 at 6:30 PM, the Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a bingo night at the Old School Cafeteria to support our town's Independence Day Celebration. Be there or be square!

Updates:
  • Byron was hurting a bit on Saturday, but he was a little better the next day.
  • Mary was feeling a bit better on Saturday as well, but still needs our prayers.

Praise Reports:
  • Dwayne, David, Greg, and Levi Barber all had a fantastic time seeing James Paul and Christin at their respective military bases! Everything went well and they had some very good bonding time.

Prayer Requests:
  • Our mayor, Bobby Simon, had his defibrillator go off twice recently. He had a heart attack at age 38 and so has to deal with heart problems.
  • Pray for the family of Dwayne's cousin Joan, who recently passed away. She will be dearly remembered.
  • Keep Sandy and Shirley in your prayers, as Sandy's sister, Annie (in Georgia), died the other day after a long illness.
  • Remember Pam Fletcher and her son and daughter-in-law.
  • Pray that Vivian will be safe as she visits her family in Tennessee, and for her mother who is in bad health and has trouble getting around.
  • We pray for continued health for Hannah and Chloe (as well as the baby soon to be born), and for Amanda and baby Ava.
  • Please send up prayers for James Paul, Christin, and Trent as they serve our country.
  • We should never forget our nation, and the fight for truth and justice leading up to the important elections this fall.

Sermon Notes:
  • We continued on through the book of Romans this week, studying Romans 11:25-12:2
